The NG series of modular steel enclosures are designed for
flexibility and rapid delivery. The NG part numbers give the
dimensions (in inches) as height by width. For example, a NG1824
enclosure is 18" high and 24" wide. Standard NG backbox depth is 5.75" (14.6 cm). Internal mounting studs are included for a customer-furnished subplate. The hinged aluminum front plate is tailored for use with Automation Displays graphics, LEDs, switches and electronic components. This plate is unfinished, but custom finishes are available. A trim ring allows the box to be flush mounted into a wall opening. A hinged security cover can be added to prevent unauthorized access to the front plate. The security cover includes a keylock (or two keylocks for the 36" high cover), and a 3/16" (4.8 mm) clear Tuffak viewing window. The NG series of enclosures are heavy duty construction, made from cold rolled steel, and featuring a durable powder coated black finish. The door and optional security cover are hinged on the left side using a continuous hinge. On smaller doors, a single keylock is provided on the right side, at the center of the door. On larger doors, two key locks are provided, one each in the upper and lower right side corners. When a trim ring and/or a security cover are required, they should be ordered at the same time as the box order so that all of the pieces can be assembled at the factory. Otherwise, some drilling will be required by the customer.
